will 225/70/15 mud tyres fit standard 15" rims without rubbing?

Default will 225/70/15 mud tyres fit standard 15" rims without rubbing?

hi all, i have just bought some off road tyres for my 1994 jeep cherokee 4.0 limited but im not sure if they will fit under arches? the current tyres are the same size but not knobbys.the suspension is all standard.
hope somecan can advise...

Should fit easily, I doubt they will rub at all

X2 225 is the stock size

I have 235/75R15 on the stock rims. Have a 2 inch BB but the springs are shot so it only sits an inch higher than stock.

I ran 235/75/15 without issue on the wifes' XJ and it was 100% stock.
I wouldn't think 225 would be an issue since they're a shorter tire than the 75 series.


225=Width in Millimeters,
70= Side wall height as a percentage of the width, 225*70%=157.5mm

Although this thread has been answered just an FYI, if I'm not mistaken you can fit up to 30" tires under a stock rig without fender trimming or rubbing. I have 235/70/16 which is about 29.5" and I have never had a problem
