A significant amount more of road noise, but doable. I would be worried more about the heat if I were you. The xmsn tunnel is a scorcher when hot. Like untouchable. Id suggest in some durable mats that are rubber(I have goodyear mats) to keep the heat down on the floor and some extra coats of bedliner on the xmsn tunnel. Every extra coat would help with the noise as well. Good luck, and remember prep is the most important part.

I'm in that boat, but I can't tell you how loud it got after because I went from no floors to a brand new OEM floor. For me, it's much quieter because for a couple of weeks I was driving around with just some cardboard. All I can tell you is that it is hotter in it this year then it was last year with just the carpet. At least it doesn't smell like wet carpet in it anymore. I don't regret doing it at all.

Those were taken the day after It was done. I still have to buy the husky liners and some rubber plugs and I will do another coat or 2.

i got the rubber floor in my xj, but i want to bedline it cuz its pretty dirty and the car has some leaky windows so all the rubber has done is prevent the water from evaporating and rusting the floor lol

How hard do you think it would be to replace the carpet after ripping it out.

I took the carpet out of the cargo area today... in just bare sheet metal it sounds like a window is part way open. I imagine it will get much better when I get it patched up and coated.

I just replaced all my floors and bed lined them. I didn't notice that much of a difference to be honest.
