Default who uses lucas oil stabilizer?

who hear uses it

i have used it in my 98 dodge ram for a year or so now...never had a issue

I would run 1 qt of that with 4 qts oil

i get excellent oil pressure hot or cold

some people love it, some hate it

im thinking about dropping it and just running the oil

let me know what you think and why

I used it in my 2000 and it made the lifters peck 10 times worse. It sounded like a Detroit Diesel engine. I changed my oil again and it calmed it back down. I have 178000 miles on it.

Ran it once with no real noticeable advantages. I use RESTORE... it has been talked about on here a good bit, it really helped quite things down, and seemed to help things run a bit smoother. As far as oil goes I use Mobil 1 Full Syn 10w-30 and either a wix or mopar filter.

Your probably fine, but I stopped using it I found it to be a pointless thing. If you have problems with your jeep leaking oil then I wouldnt choose a synthetic or a synthetic blend cause they leak more than conventional. We use this stuff at work I can't remember the name but you put it in with a oil change it goes into the seals and gaskets and is supposed to seal them up. I know some people swear by all this quick fix stuff but the only way to fix it right is to well fix it right.

Lucas oil stabilizer is nothing more than base stock and a heap of viscosity modifiers...

All it does is thicken your oil. If want to run a higher viscosity oil, save the money and just go buy the higher viscosity.

Not I.
After I read these kind of comments:
http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...Number=1831733

Rotella T-6 5w-40 and a good filter (WIX, or Purolator) and I haven't looked back.
