Who has AAL? how do you like it?

well i basically decided to go with RC 3"stage 2 aal, going with it because i i feel as tho i dont have sag in the rear and it fits into my budget. some people say that the aal isnt worth it. and others say they are fine. to me i would think theyre fine, i dont do crazy offroading but i do do it when i get the chance. so any opinions on aal? if you have them do u like them? i plan on puttin 2" shackles and spacers in the spring

from day one it was not the same height. I added a 1.5" block to get it up there. Probably only gained 1" from the aal. Putting full leafs on next week.

It depends do you have the long aal, because those are fine it's those small ones that will give you problems. Plus don't expect the aal to give you a lot of hight, it just to puts the arch back in your spring, so just get the shackles

i had a 4.5rc lift with an aal the rear was never at 4.5 and it saged in about 2 months. well worth to get full leafs

I have aal and am planning on making a bastard pack now. It's worth the extra $ to get full leaf set.

Never had the full 3" out of my aal. A year later and some hard wheeling and its starting to sag more. Go for the full leafs you won't regret it.

New springs with AAL would work as advertised. AAL with worn springs, well, will sag with time.

In regards to the budget, either save a bit longer or ride the AAL till it sags then build a bstrd pack. Building a BP from Chevy S-10 leaf springs is no more complicated then installing an AAL. A recycle yard would sell them for no more then $50 a side.

Hate to sound like a broken record. But, I'm telling you and others will agree do a full pack. Aal and a shackle will get you your hight even with sagging leafs (with a 13 year old rig in NH you def have sag) but don't waist your time. If moneys tight wait a month to get the extra 100$ or so its gonna cost.

i have one. have used them before. they have worked out good for me. little or no sagging. rougher ride than a new pack but overall they have done well for me.
