I don't have a straight piece of sheet metal on my rig... that includes the roof.
I wash it (simple wash, not a detail) before I head out... especially the windows...

I never wash before I wheel, but I always wash after I wheel, and because I only use my jeep for wheeling it is usually still clean when I hit the trails. Of course I have an 89 with really ugly fading and peeling paint so it never looks pretty no matter how much I clean it.

I don't wash my Jeep. Unless going somewhere in it with the old Lady and she is wearing nice clothes. Other time I wash it is before repairs or maintenace. I do clean my window regularly.

I usually wash it before I work on it. There's really no point doing it any other time because..
1. it dosint have a shiny paint job.
2. The mud hides all the dents.
3. It looks like it's been somewere.
