I found mine on craigslist for Austin, Tx. High school kid was trying get rid of it so he could by a Trans AM. I bought it for 700.00. It need some TLC and a new CPS sensor.

Searching for ANYTHING to get my old beat up Mercedes off the road. I was looking for some kind of truck or suv. I knew that if I could manage to make the leap to something that was not a car I really wanted it to be 4wd looked at LOTS of different things on craigslist and ebay. First Jeep I saw was 2wd and 4 banger (thats when I found out 2wd jeeps even existed) second one was a black 2 door with grill guard and tow hitch already on. 700$ but the guy never contacted me back when I asked about it

Finally I found the one I bought. Bout an hour and a half away the guy's landlord told him all the non used vehicles needed to get out of the yard ASAP. 700$ later and the rest is history.

I got mine from a co worker he wanted $600 for it and said you couldn't drive it over 45, he couldn't get it to run so I got it for $300 and he trailered it to my house for free. I put a batery into it and 5 gallons of gas and it fired right up.

craigslist it was about 5 or 6 hrs away but only payed 780 so I went and got it.

i found my 89 MJ behind a garage not for sale. the owner was outside doing yard work, offered $900 and he took it. got my 92 MJ off craigslist 30 minutes after the guy posted it.

At a Jeep dealership. A deal on a very low milage Liberty fell through somewhere else, but I was set on a getting a Jeep. Ended up with the 01 Cherokee Sport and less than a day later I was very happy I didn't get a Liberty.

took ownership of my dads 88 jeep cherokee when he passed away in 2001. he bought it from our mechanic at the time who sold it for $1800. the mechanic had did a major tune up before selling it to my dad. he even had threw in a maaco paint job (which still shines up to now).

Found my '97 on craigslist 30 minutes away for $3200 with 110k on the clock. A guy was selling it for a young girl who lived in the city and got a new vehicle. It came with a new battery, new tires, class 3 hitch, an aftermarket security system and an $1800 grocery list of repairs or replacements. I gave him asking price and could not have been any happier!
