Have a 1995 stock xj no lift. What are the largest size wheel spacers I can put on and not have a problem with rubbing fenders wells? Tires are 245/70/15 Goodyear GSA wranglers....

Thats roughly 28.5 x 9.6 so you don't need to worry all that much about rubbing on the fenders. They will rub on the LCA's during full lock. The fenders on a 95 are slightly larger than the fenders on 97 and newer xj's, and some guys are able to run 31's with very very little trimming. Wheel spacers just push the wheel out so if it is gonna rub on the fenders wheel spacers will not help you, unless the spacer is 12"+ long Haha.

245/70/15's are only wider than 235/75/15's (28.9 x9.3)which is what most people run stock so you should have no issues at all running them.

I guess, just imagine your jeep rim now, just pushed out 2 more inches. If you get spacers only buy spidertrax wheel spacers. Why do you want wheel spacers so bad? I have seen the studs pull out while wheeling so honestly they are not your best option.

Well like I said I as well as many others on here will tell you that the only trusted brand of wheel spacer is spidertrax(other name brands are total garbage), and they cost about $100 bucks for a set of two. It is almost cheaper to buy some steelies with 4" or less backspacing. Just a thought, after all it is your jeep.

Thats a sweet color xj by the way.

Spacers are not recomended but if you must use spacers get the 1.25in ones from spidertrax.. Either way though people do continue to use them even against recomendation not to

Most people like to tell you they're no good and how they have "seen" and "heard" of them breaking but in reality I'd bet my paycheck ($2,600) that most of them have never actually tried for themselves...

Every spacers thread is full of naysayers but I say go for it man! I've been running 2" spacers with 4.5" BS wheels for 8 months now and PO ran them for over 2 years and neither of us has ever had a single issue that you could even pretend to blame on the spacers.

On top of that, we have both wheeled the **** out of this jeep. Between the two of us we've broken everything there is to be broken EXCEPT axles & spacers. So yeah, from my experience (and I have it, not what I've read on the Internet) there is not a single problem with quality spacers as log as you torque down the lugs properly.

Its always been a huge debate on whether or not spacers are any good, some say yes some say no. Its really a matter of what you are comfortable with. I won't run them because I have wheeled with a guy(in a wrongler) that had the studs sheer off. I'm not saying that they are terrible or anything just a matter of preference. I'm sure 9 out of 10 guys have had no issues with them but I have been around that one guy that did and it's not something that I want to experience.

Very good point. Looking back and reading the two posts prior to mine, I think they are talking about wheel spacers. Thats what the op and myself were talking about.
