What's your opinion on sound systems?
I'm looking to do a speaker upgrade this summer. Nothing too special, just want some clear and fairly loud sounding speakers.
So two questions basically:
1. What are some good brands/speakers to look for?
2. What's the price range gonna look like including installation? (I've had enough of speaker wiring after dealing with my subs and amp by myself)
Any advice is appreciated.

Here is a similar thread. No use having the same discussion twice.

I read that other discussion and they didn't mention much about prices, so that's what I was trying to see.
I have subs already so that's dealt with.
So pretty much I'm talking about just doing a stock speaker upgrade.
Also, I have the infinity system in my '98 Grand Limited and that came with an amp under the rear seat. Would I be able to use this efficiently for new speakers?

This is a question with too many answers, everybody has an opinion on what is the best. You just need to buy what is in your price range.

Go with Pioneer, they sound great, they're reasonably priced and the brand has a great reputation. I recommend you get them off of Crutchfield.com thats where i got mine and my pioneers came out to like $45 for a set of two.

I've heard some good things about the Alpine Type-S. They're available on www.bestbuy.com. Looks like they have a couple good reviews on there as well.
$92.99 for a pair.

for subs go with kicker, jl audio, memphis, or mtx. for door speakers go with memphis(best in my opinion when it comes to door speakers), infinity, polk, and in some cases kicker. those are the best ive heard and my cousin does this for a living basically
