What's it worth??
Thinking of buying my first Jeep! 1999 XJ SE. 6cyl, auto, 8.25 rear, power windows and locks, A/C. Other than that all stock with only 105k miles! What do you think is a fair price on it? I won't tell what they are asking, just getting a feeler on what I should offer, and not insult them.

KBB for Virginia Beach is $3,000 in good condition. If the 100k stuff has already been done (replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, shocks, water pump, coolant flush, tranny flushed and filter changed, front and rear diff fluid flushed) and they have proof of it, I'd offer $2,300-2,500 cash. Otherwise, I'd go $1,800-2,000 cash due to money you'll be putting into it to make sure it's where it needs to be mechanically. Remember too, cash in hand speaks louder than anything else.
