SelecTrac ia a transfer case allowing part time as well as full time 4WD. You can use 4WD on the street with one of these.

I noticed it has alot more skid plates than other xjs that i've seen. It has 78k miles and the interior is perfect. I picked it up for $3500. it also has the infinity sound system. Best of all it came from Dallas so hadn't ever spent life in a hard winter. All the ones I looked at here in Denver were pretty beat up. The only flaw is there's a couple places on the roof where paint has chipped and has some surface rust. From what i've seen I guess that's common?

Awesome mileage, nothing like a low mileage xj for cheap. You got a damn good price on that. I wish I could come across one similar.

I was with the understanding, up country was slightly higher suspension set up and 2 wheel+4wheel part time.

Up country sits higher, the np241 "Selec Trac" is a full or part time transfer case. He could drive around all day in what would essentially be AWD.
