I personally have not named mine...(YET!) I actually do not even know where to start. So maybe I can try your ways of coming up with one.
My XJ's name is Eeyore, after the donkey in winnie the pooh.
Because an *** is a big stubborn creature that doesn't get stuck.
And because the wranglers think I am one (an ***) when my XJ shows them up
I'm waiting on my vanity plates that say "Eyeore", should be here this month of next but if you notice the spelling on my plates, I ****ed it up. It is SUPPOSED to be Eeyore. Oops.

Thinkin about painting it haze grey and calling her "MCM" which is the smallest ship in the navy. Markets to my time of choppy seas underway. Now to find haze grey in rattle cans!

I named mine stormy. Because it had to ride out hurricanes Rita, Humberto, and Ike. Tried to get it out for rita and ike, but ran out of time. Humberto turned into a hurricane overnight and was just to much of a surprise. I almost lost it in rita, i had it in a storage building. I came back after the hurricane as soon as the police would let us and found the storage building crumbled down to two spaces next to mine. The space with my xj in it had the tin ripped from the framing. The only damage mine sustained was a bent antenna and a few scratches on the litigate from a 4x8 sheet of particle board.
