What year cherokee to look for
Hi im new to this website and i was wondering what to look for in an XJ like axles
transfer cases and tannys, I will be lifting it once i get it so its gonna be a daily and a play rig also

I'd say anything '87 to '99
87-90 will be a Renix with the closed loop coolant system but that's a easy swap out.
91' to '99 will all be great H.O. motors..
00'-01' have known head issues and I really wouldn't buy one myself...

95 is the best year cause that's what I've got! lol But in all seriousness any of them with a 4.0L and 4 wheels is the best except for the 00-01s which had crappy heads and low pinion D30s up front. If I had to be picky I'd say 96-99 is the best just to get OBDII electronics.
