Ok to start off , i saw this jeep on cl and thought it was sweet so i texted the guy just to learn more about it, talking led to him wanting a 4 door with a top, and yaaaa so here we go!
This guy said he would trade me his
2001 jeep xj with
-5 inch short arm lift
-only 66000 miles
-auto tranny
-full cage
-30 front 8.25 rear both stock gears but rear has powertrax locker
-runs good no problems (to my knowledge)
- 5 33 1250 15 mickys 4 with 25% 1 with 70%
-new procomp rims with protectors he called em
-revolver shackles
-passes emissions
-clean title
PLUSSS!
A running 86 cherokee with the 4 banger, 242 tcase
-needs wheel bearing (included)

High flow water pump
190 degree thermostat
Mechanical fan clutch
Kenwood stereo
All 4 speakers
Interior pieces
Fuel pump and sending unit
All fuel lines and filter
Spark plugs cap rotor and wires
Throttle position sensor
Crank position sensor
Front brakes Adjustable rubicon express track bar
Trac bar bracket (welded to frame)
Brand new front seats
Newer headliner
Re wired doors
Front winch bumper tied into frame
Re bedlined lower doors
Hood hinge lift for air flow
Im sure im forgetting things!!
Then before me
Rear bumper tied into hitch mounts WICKED STRONG
4:56 gears front and rear
Removable front doors (i just redrilled and tapped the hinges) can uninstall both fronts in 5 mins alone
-I also have gas skid (not installed) Class 3 hitch (not installed)
-Runs and drives amazing at 80mph at all times!!
-This thing wheels amazing! Does phenomanal on and off road!!!
Also have a chrysler 8.25 with 456 gears and a detroit locker with beefy diff guard ready for install!
Plus $700 of my cash!
Let me know what ya guys think!!

I would keep what you have. There must be a reason why he's willing to "trade down", something fishy going on here.

Meh, seems like a deal to me.
Dude wants one already lifted with a roof. Seems understandable.
Just make sure you check them both out first.

Also I feel as if your current jeep is a lot more built up than the one you're trading for although yours has a roof and doesn't have an exo cage. Just roll with what you got!!
