my honda got repoed a month after my daughter was was born and needed a car....while my stepsons at peewee football, the wife saw a jeep for sale...88 pioneer w/ 220,000 miles for 500 hundred...got 3 great years out it and traded it in for my current xj...bought 2 more after this one...this all started almost 7 years ago

 

well i was 16 looking for a car and my friend said to look at jeeps thats when the madness all started <3

 

funny thing i should start with befor i bought mine i hated jeep because my ex gf had a wrangler and i allways felt it was a pice of crap but six months after we broke up i was looking to upgrade from my 4 clylinder ford ranger i wanted something with a 6 more room and 4wd the cherokee was in my price range i had found one test drove it fell in love ironicly a week later i was driveing it my brakes failed and i allmost rear ended her in her jeep

 

I was about 14 when the first xj was introduced and I remember thinking how cool they were back then. I have owned almost every brand at one point or anotherand my wife had been driving an 06 grand for a few years. I for the life of me can no figure out why I have never owned a Jeep until the 06 grand though. I wish I would have put a wrangler in the line up years ago though. Well.. fast forward to a couple of years ago and I lost my job and took a huge pay cut when I found my current job. I owned an 07 Ford f150 fully loaded lariat and could not afford the gas or payment any longer so we got rid of it. I only had $3500 to spend and I honestly thought I was going to get a toyota or honda with that. Started shopping craigslist and boom!... that is all it took. I never looked for another type of vehicle. I test dove every XJ in every Dealership in middle Tennessee to find the one I purchased.

 

funny little story....i was backing up my first xj up to turn around and my brakes went...of course im on top of a hill going backwards...cut the wheel(didnt have too much speed yet), hopped the curb, and hit a bush....would have crashed into that persons above ground pool if it wasnt for that bush
