Question What kind of mount is this?

See attached photo. I'm holding up my key for size comparison.

This was in my Jeep when I got it from the previous owner. I don't know what kind of mount it is. The hole is threaded slightly. It's screwed into the hump on the passenger side next to the shifter.

If I can't use it, would it be safe to remove it? I don't know if the screws went through the body or what.

Sorry, dunno what that is. Doesn't look stock tho, and the screws are definately going thru your floorboard. Maybe a mount for a CB or somethin'?

Looks like a old cell phone handset mount. Leave it be or pull it out and seal the holes. No big deal.

The previous owner had something that used a glass mounted antenna hard wired in this Jeep. There were wires run all over the place, along with a small speaker near the headliner. Looked like a cell phone car mount kit from 15 years ago.

I have a handheld GPS that I'd love to put in my Jeep using a mount of some sort, so if I could figure out what this mount is used with I thought I might get lucky without having to remove this one and redo.

Definitely a cellular/CB bracket of sorts. Just unscrew it, pull back the carpet and fill the holes with silicone/3m 5200 or spot weld the holes, if you're capable.

I believe I have a brand new flexible "stalk" and base for that mount, if you're interested in re-purposing it....let me know.
