What goes best with 3.5 lilft

What goes is required with a 3.5 lilft
I am debatin on a 3 or 3.5 inch lift. I just wanted to know if i go 3.5 what do i NEED to add. I believe a controll arm(newbie guess). Would i need anything else, just care for safty sake not ride quality.
