What flashlights you got?
Show off your flashlights!
And what you keep in the ol xj! |
Just search around for a good tactical light.. 30 bucks wont get you too much..but the more lumens..the better :D
|
I know you said you wanted it in the glove box, but I mounted my maglight between the seat and door using the maglight mounts. Nice, out of the way, but easilly accessable.
|
I've been happy with this and $30. http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru...037004&thumb=1

it's a little steep but this has been the best flashlight i've ever owned. |
this is definitely the best flashlight i have ever had it has the power of a big maglite, high and low power settings, and its small! definitely worth the money |
maglite 2d led fits in the center console of my 96 and its very bright
|
Surefire flashlights are my personal choice, but gonna run more than $30
|
I'm a Surefire and Streamlight full line distributor.
Both are better than Mag. Mag fell off the quality wagon when they started selling to places like Walmart. Surefire asks to much money for the same things you can get from other places. Streamlight seems to be the best balance between great quality and affordable price. I use my Strion LED, great size and very powerful. |
Also, typically the extra money you spend on a rechargeable light is made up fairly quickly by not having to buy batteries all the time.
Of course, that depends on how often you use it. And most rechargeable lights do better staying on a charger if not in use. So you'd want a DC charger if keeping it in the truck. Oh! Also, if you live in a colder climate you may want to look into a polymer body flashlight. The metal will act like a heat sink, and will suck to hold onto when its cold. Or, if your like me, sometimes you gotta bite the flashlight to hold it while working with both hands. Polymer is easier on the teeth than metal. |
I have the streamlight DS and I love this light its expensive but works.excellent. That Mac tag looks pretty good and its not too back price and runs on 3AAA. Even led lenser its good too. Coast has a light that pretty bright too I have mess with one but looks good. Streamlight about 200 the rest around 30-40 bucka
