I was in the junkyard today just nosing around for stuff and came upon 3 newer Cherokees (2003-2004's) in a line by the back fence. Each of them had a large bright orange X spray painted over the top of the engine and a tag attached to the fuelrail that read:
"This engine is from a vehicle that is part of the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS). It has significant internal damage caused by operating the engine with a sodium silicate solution (Liquid glass) instead of oil."
?????

There cars from the cash for clunkers... U cant pull the complete engine and rebuild it.. thats why they are painted orange. u can pull parts from them, but under the agreement when the people bought there new car they had to destroy the engine completely.

Ya cash for clunkers, now there is good socialist program that will drain you and me's tax money.
That program cost the tax payers 24 k per car, and it was supposed to "quote" help stimulate the economy, when all it did was put all ready struggling dealerships out of business.
All these programs are is a slow decay of the Americans way of doing business in a free trade system and a way to bring America into a socialist system of doing things.
It is all about big government trying to take control!

my freind works at a local dealership around my area.. he is a ***** bag so every time they got a c.f.c jeep he called me when they were blowing it up.. he would call and all i could hear was a jeep in the back ground trying to stay alive red lined.. I think there dealership had 10 or so xjs.. One c.f.c jeep was a pristene 99 limited, tan leather and lower miles.. I did get some rims and interior parts from a couple of the xj's but nothing special.. That program was a shame to america.. obama's days are numbered.. he's pissing a lot of people off..
