So we had the Cherokee/Wagoneer XJ 84-01. Does anyone consider the China Jeep 2500/2700 and the 2014 Cherokee part of the Cherokee world or does everyone say those dont belong in the Cherokee line.

My wife has a 12 KK and when parked side by side with my 97 XJ I can totally see the similar design elements. I wish they'd kept the KK and made it a bit more capable. I might have consider ed trading up to that as it is a pretty nice ride w/ leather, nav, sunroof etc. Since they didn't I am gonna keep on fixing/upgrading the XJ.
As for the new Cherokee it isn't really in the same class but I kind of find myself liking the Trailhawk edition but the jury is out until I see one in person and possibly drive it.

I count the fsj one since its the first Cherokee,And i count the china made one as one its mostly our xj with a new front end.The brand new one needs to be renamed to me,It looks nothing like a Cherokee should and its ifs and has the ground clearance of a car.

X2 it started with the FSJ Cherokee and hasn't stopped since. Not sure what the "Cherokee world" is on a brand name that's been alive for 50 years. I would consider Beijing Jeep 2500s as XJs.
KKs are remarkably XJ-like, minus the weird front that either looks like a shoe or some cutesy robot from a Pixar film. I wish they'd gone further with this concept:
