I am a little behind so here is the last few days
this is on my 1996 Cherokee Sport 4.0 HO
figured out my leafs and shackles where over tightened...
adjusted my transfer case shift linkage
made some lower control arm shims...
shimmed my lower control arms
ratchet strapped my tire to the roof...
the day before that, installed a t case drop, did my own alignment, centered the steering wheel, installed a used Rancho steering stabilizer ($5)
another day before that installed the drivers side front spring (3"), modded my new shock and installed a new shock (JK rubicon take off), and relocated the brake line
3 days before today, installed the passenger side front(3") spring, modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off), and relocated the brake line
4 days before today I installed the passenger side rear leaf and axle shim (3")
had to cut the old front eye's bolt out... it seized in the sleeve...
modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off)
5 days before today I installed the driver side rear leaf and axle shim (3")
had to cut the old front eye's bolt out... it seized in the sleeve...
modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off)
also removed the tow hitch, broke several bolts... plan to fix that soon

Mine were too loose and it ended up wallowing out the holes in my shackles and causing a clunk in the rear end when turning.

I made them very loose... then tightened them to 80 ft/lbs the manual calls for 65 ft/lbs...
I will tell you it sure helped
before I just tightened them until I felt like stopping... using a 24" breaker bar... lol

Cleaned the hubs and knuckles then put in my hubs in after greasing both with some ball joint grease/multipurpose grease and torqued them down, greased the front drive shaft and ball joints. Otherwise did absolutely nothing.

- Wired in a factory 1991 dash clock out of another XJ from the junkyard
- Painted the dash trim peice metallic silver (it turned out perfect!)
- Put some super bright white LED bulbs in the shift indicator, the transfer case indicator, the climate control module, and the ash tray.
- Got pulled over this morning on the way to school. I passed a guy doing a 35 in a 45 and the cop somehow saw it. He said that it was a solid yellow for my side of the road (when it was clearly dashed) so I just played dumb and said I had no clue that it was (to avoid arguement) and he then asked me what speed I had to get up to to pass the other truck, I told him I was doing the actual speed limit and he then checked my driving record which is clean. He was cool about it and let me off. He just told me to drive a little safer when it's that early in the morning.

Sounds like he had a slow night last night. It always bugs me when I get pulled over for no other reason than the officer was bored.
