Not today but about a week ago I made some window screens for my XJ. I camped with it for 3 days this week and slept inside it. The nights were hot and it rained for about 2 hours one night. I made separate rain gutters for both sides as seen here on the passenger's window. The driver's side was under my canopy so there was no need for that one. Plenty of air and I stayed dry.

Yesterday I installed new front brake calipers/pads/rotors, and installed new U-bolts on my leafs since one was sheared off. Also deleted my rear sway bar.

Default Disco revival

Have some crusty, old model JKS discos in need of serious rehab. Came on my 97. 3 ***** dry one ball frozen. Don't you just hate when that happens 😖. I Cannot roll like that, so here is the rehab process.

Used a torch to take them apart. Cut off one at the axle end to get the ball out of it because it was destroyed. No grease, wtf?! Rod end to go on axle end, ***** up!

One sleeve threaded, length is good. Making new bar attachments, going with ball end down (to use quick disco pin). Will grind wrench flats to hold sleeve for adjustments. R

Default Disco done

Ready for blast and paint. Much better than the old units, stronger and tighter threads.

Also didn't like how the shackle mounts just sat in the holes so I improvised

Man, those cuts are terrible

Found some angle in the shop and got to it. I'm now 2% more confident in this bumpers strength, 5% total. As stated in the last post it's not 100% tied in so i don't plan on pulling with the front unless absolutely needed.

Default Exhaust

My standard exhaust for xj. 2.5 in/out glasspack, 26" long. Feeds into turbo muffler, also 2.5" in/ out. Turndown at rear axle. All joints welded except the downpipe to glass pack. Removable there to service. Easy build, no hanging clamps, good tone. Under $75. R

Hi All. Longtime lurker, first time poster. Just redid the sagging headliner on my 2001 XJ. Lots of fun in 105+ heat index weather. Let's go Blues!

Default ScarJo

Pulled seats and carpet on ScarJo to do some wiring and found what you see below. I’ve only had her for about 3 months. Wire brush and Rust-Eze coming soon!

1999 XJ Sport. Must’ve had a heater core leak at one time.

I'll take some pics of the individual pieces and post them later today. They were easy to make and not expensive.

Official start to my Ex Forest Service Cherokee XJ refurbish/upgrade/modify project by placing my "Smokey Rated" emblems on the front fenders. We'll see where this journey takes Smokey and me in the future.
