I research my purchases obsessively. That $400 box (and $80 off when I ordered) is the best tool chest I can get for under $1,800. It's built leagues better than the Craftsman/Husky/etc boxes, for less money.

Craftsman and husky are the same thing. They're both Stanley, Black & Decker. But I have good news for you if you like Craftsman, now that Lowe's sells Craftsman you get 10% off of it

Sorry to hear about your engine. Tough spot to be in especially now that the weather is becoming unfavorable for outside work. Did you get any more clues on what went wrong to cause the loss of oil pressure? I saw the photo of antifreeze in oil pan. I suppose that a leak of antifreeze from head down onto cam bearings caused excessive journal bearing wear until clearances opened up and dropped oil pressure. Higher RPM and hot oil can be the toughest to maintain lubrication and if journals were already compromised things may have became catastrophic during a long drive. I replaced the 0331 head on my 2000 due to a crack. I found it by doing an oil analysis that detected a small amount of antifreeze. No other obvious symptoms. So far so good with new head. Best wishes for a good solution for your engine.

I'd just pull a motor at the junkyard and drop it in if that's the case. 4.0s last a long time so I wouldn't be too worried putting a junkyard motor in it or maybe you could find a part out and hear it run before pulling even.

Got the bracket burned in for the OTA track bar and got the bungs welded into the DOM. I just need to remove the old track bar and throw the new one in and adjust it

Finally got around to doing the drum brakes. Now I know why everyone hates them. What a PITA!

I could not have done it without purchasing the kit that included the springs, etc. If you guys do this in the future, get that kit as well. I was missing most of my hardware as it turned out.

they have the advantage of being cheap lol I rebuilt both brake drums (had the OEM drums turned) down to the backing plate for under 100 dollars. That's all new hardware, shoes, and wheel cylinders using raybestos parts.

Default 1996 jeep cherokee sport 2 door rally car

Hi I have a 1996 jeep cherokee and I want to turn it into a rally car I have the turbo and engine mods I want to put on but if I'm gonna be driving 60 70 mph through the woods I want to eliminate the jeeps roll factor by lowering the ride height and widening the wheel base. I assumed spacers for the width but I have no clue what kind of coilovers could fit if I'd have to eliminate the leave springs any help on suspension and platform knowledge that could help me out would be awesome, thank you.

It's a track car, not a rally car, but you might want to look at the XJ-R build from Team Pettycash. They lowered an XJ about 4.5" and addrd a turbo (Megasquirt engine management), and they kicked ***.

Personally I'd lower it and keep leaf springs in the back, but have some quality springs and shocks and put it spring under instead of spring over. Maybe add a traction bar. In the front get some stiffer springs, cut some coils out and depending on how low you go and if it's 2wd or 4wd cut the axle and such to fit. There have been a few lowered Cherokees and a few lowered Comanches (same front suspension). For the wider stance I personally would get some new wheels with a higher offset and depending on tire size wider wheels. If you do run spacers buy quality spacers to avoid issues and make sure you get them tight.

Picture I took this morning in the daylight. It's not perfectly level so I may buy a drop pitman arm to get the angles even better, but huge improvement in steering angle (from over the pitman arm to under) and much flatter track bar which hopefully won't bind anywhere. I'm going to put about 500 street miles on it then wheel it at black mountain offroad in harlan Kentucky in a couple weekends.

The engines in the yards around here have all the caps removed (brake, pwr str, oil) and most have hoods propped up. So the engines are pretty much exposed to the elements. And with only having two years to choose from, they don't always have one..

Look on Facebook marketplace and craigslist. Found a 4.0 on market place for $250 last week for a Cherokee I'm working on. There are like 6 others on there, but they wanted more or were farther away.

Then you did or adjusted something wrong.
