What did you do to your Cherokee today?

Ordered four hole injectors from Raffi Kassardjian in November of 2017, didn't get around to putting them until last week. Jeep ran rough. sent a message to Raffi on facebook and he got right back to me helping me diagnose the problem. He had parts in the mail right away including spare parts I had not asked for at no charge. I can not say how great it is to work with such a conscious dealer. great customer service as well as a great price and speedy shipping on original purchase. Changed the injectors again today (20 min.). Jeep runs smooth, better throttle response, or at least feels that way. Raffi reminds me of an mechanic I knew growing up (in the 5o's). I told him once he seemed to think making folks happy was more important than making money. He told me it was the same thing.

So as usual I need your guys opinion. I picked up a chrome grill and the chrome headlight bezels. But the real reason is because of the aftermarket grill inserts. The only ones I could kinda find were these:
I wanted black but I think the holes are to tight. Trying to kinda make it look like the grill on a '98 GC with the 5.9. What my louvers and tire cover are from. So I saw this set up and figured I would bedline the grill inserts and use them on my existing grill. I figured I would give it a shot though. Even though technically the chrome would come on the Limited/Country/ Up Country/European Orvis clone I am shooting for it was the one thing I did not really want to do. I like that my Jeep has no chrome. Even the wheels and badging are more a brushed metal. So what do you guys think? Think the grill with the black headlight bezels is out. Also what do you guys think about the bedlining the inserts with the chrome grill and headlight bezels? Frankly until I came across these I was thinking about going to Home Depot and checking out gutter screens. LOL. Still might.

Got my shifter "rebuild kit" in the mail today. So in a hot garage (112*) I decided to tackle putting new rubber in the top of my AX-15. This is the abomination I removed from the XJ a few weeks ago when I got my salvage yard shiftgert in the mailbox.Yes the threads are chopped off and its drilled to accept a Hurst T handle shifter, that's how I got it. Here is the link for the kit
Turns out there is supposed to be something in there. Might have overlooked that when I put in the other shifter.. Oops.
Cleaned out the remnants and installed the new bushing thing. (Yes I know I should replace the chassis rubber boot.)
Popped the shift lever off the lower part.
Hit the part where the lever slides on with some WD40 and some P500 sandpaper to get off the surface rusties. Then proceeded to slip on the seal my trans so desperately needed.
Side by side comparo to make sure I put the upper part of the lever on correctly. (Yes I know the workbench is cluttered, working out storage solutions in the garage)
No pics of the install, took me like 30 minutes to get the darn thing down and twisted onto the little tangs, not fun at all. Afterwards I put it through all the gears with the motor off to see if I could feel any difference. Nothing I could directly feel as this isn't my daily BUT hopefully when the trans gets hot it wont fill the cabin with that terrible hot gear oil smell anymore, and that itself would be worth the $20 I spent on the rebuild kit. A note on this kit I purchased I did not use the plastic piece that goes on the ball at the end of the shifter because the factory unit on the salvage yard shifter is formed to snap to the ball, the replacement part kind of slips on and I did not trust that in the transmission just a personal preference im sure you could use it if you wanted too...

Got the new rubber mounted on the beadlocks ...128 bolts 2x once to remove the pitbull rockers and a second to mount the 42 competition Trepadors . I miss the wide Bogger look but no one makes a wide sticky.

Not trying to be smart or anything, but you say you don't trust the piece that comes in the kit, but that ring dissolved into your transmission somewhere. Also I just put one of those kits in, and I filled my transmission with motor oil instead of gear oil. Much better smelling, and is recommended for the ax-15.
spiders I'll hook it up.
