Got them off FB marketplace. We fabbed the brackets to mount to the factory mounting points and welded them to the sliders of the seat bracket. They feel amazing. Driver seat is power and figured how to wire it to the factory wiring so all the functions will still work.

I got the 2000 up and running with the new engine! Sounds good too. Just got to finish breaking in the cam and button up and a few other things and its should be good to drive.

When you crank the starter and it fires up for the first time, that's the sound of success

You guys do real work and know what you are doing. I was happy that my Jeep started after I replaced the CPS. I know just enough to get me in trouble. LOL.

The beauty of it, is that too - is the sweet sound of success!

My horns were dead for a long time, one day someone cut me off and I honked at them, and it just sounded like a wet muddy fart. Ordered some new horns off Amazon and threw them in the Jeep. When I honked the horn for the first time, I knew - the next time someone cut me off I would be the one with the last laugh!
Sweet sound of success. A bit loud, but sweet none the less.

Yep... It's always exciting and never gets old. Even when you do it for a living. Lol

Haha thats a good one Ralph! One step at a time right? I am sure if you tried, you could build an engine too. Its more work getting it out and back in then it actually is building the engine.

The only downside with doing it for yourself is that when you have an issue, its on your coin and not the companies!

I wrench OK I guess. Takes me much longer to get stuff done though.

That is the one thing that does not bother me about the Jeep. Spending money on her. Hoping this will be the last 4X4 that I by in my lifetime. Going to be 60 in April. Also not having a life helps. I mean I have the usual bills (rent, cable, internet, insurance, food, and gas) but I am by myself and my one hobby is the Jeep. I want her to operate like she should. Was not happy that it was not and the CPS was an educated guess, with your guys help, but spending the $85 for the CPS and 2 bolts I was OK with. Plus when I get to old to drive I am going to soak some young buck for every dime I can when I sell her. LOL.

You are trying and thats all that matters! And on top of that, you are learning. No matter how old you are, there is always more to learn. I like everything you have done to your Jeep so far, so keep up the good work.

Quiet enough that all you can hear is the mechanical fan and the injectors pulsing. No piston slap and no lifter tick. Its nice.

He is right though Ralph, It's actually not that complicated. And the only special tools you really need is a torque wrench, and a ring compressor.

I might find out if I have my friend build me an extra engine to have. He will get paid for time but I will be part of the process. Funny thing is way back when pulled a few engines and dropped a tranny or two. Of course that was in GM's with room days in the engine comparment and with the hood off it was cut and dry. Always put 3" lifts on all my 4X4's. Put a Buick V6 in my CJ2A. That was a piece of cake. Just had to have the motor mounts welded in. Thing was back then you just let it be known that you had beer. Everybody shows up. All varying degrees of mechanical ability. Granted it would 3 times as long to get anything done. LOL.
