Last night I learned that the plugs for the OHC I pulled out of the JY (2001, I think) don't match up with the connectors on my jeep (98).
Yay wiring!
Yay wiring!
"99 sport 160+ K mi bough used form deals (who bought from auctions)
"94 SE from original owner 204Kmi (only got rid of because he went blind- has sat for a year and a half or more- he can recommend a local body shop Not to go to)
my latest amusements
94- loose steering post- tightened ( an oops with part falling into dash vent- resulted in finding 2 mouse nests- 1 in blower was solid pack) someone attempted to steal the aftermarket radio so I get to put that back together
collecting the various boots for the 5 speed- so crud doesn't fall into the redone tranny (why that one wasn't done I don't know) but the "middle one " the hoot air is blowing in
and then there is the windshield- leak all across the top- on agenda for tomorrow- the glass is is sweet shape & I am cash poor so Safelilte is out of the question & then there is adjusting the emergency brake (with new shoes and drums soon)
'99- replace fuel pump , fix last oil leak ( a piece of the transmission oil cooler line) clean all the pulleys & belts & see if that danged squeal is still there- fuel pump because it is bucking/stalling & the fuel gauge went flukey (already did the cleaning up front)
glad I have a couple friends who can help with the stuff that is out of my tech ability retired desk jockey- used to do some odd job stuff- heaviest I've done before the Jeeps was Air filters, an occasional oil change, light bulbs and little stuff
glad the Jeeps are simpler than the 2000 Safari I used to own

Installed a couple of rocker switches for my auxiliary lights, and filled in the hole that the PO made in the switch panel.
I figured I needed to do something productive after the night I had at work last night. My vocalex unit was so sensitive last night that every little noise made it repeat. then someone stole the coffee I had bought for lunch break, and finally when I got home I found out that my decktop PC had decided that it didn't want to run any more
The switches went in OK, drill bit drifted a tad to the left on each hole, but it was roughly the same amount so they don't look too bad. I picked up a pair of Grote blue LED switches and mounted them in the dash suround.
You know te thing that ticked me off the most was that some one stole my coffee. Sure it was only $1.90, but I was so looking forward to that coffee

Not really on my cherokee but I changed the oil on my buddy's YJ today. Definitely not want you want to see when you look in the drain pan. Lol. Guess that's the source of the slight knocking noise.

As I was walking across the parking lot I thought the rear end of the Jeep looked a bit lower than normal... A quick glance underneath revealed that my sagging leafs have started inverting!
So I've been on the web looking at different lift options. I think it's finally time.
