Had some time today so I cruised around local junkyards looking for a '97-'01 XJ instrument panel with gauges to replace the idiot lights in my '99. It's a real nice driver, still tight despite high miles. No luck, though, most of the Cherokees in the yards have been the older 1980s thru early 1990s models. I also sent PMs to some people on the forum here who are parting out and there's always eBay of course. (That red glow overlay looks great, but I'll be happy just to get some gauges in there!)
My steering has been absolute **** as of the last two weeks, so I went to a buddys shop after work. We pulled the drivetrain from a donor Jeep that will be going into his boss's MJ, and then got cracking on my rig. The trackbar bolt hole had opened up, so we took it to 7/16 and reamed the bushing sleeve. I also decided to replace my swaybar bushings and knew my hubs were groaning again, so I got those replaced (just did them mid July. Yay Duralast 1yr warrantee). It drives like a dream now. Feels like I'm on rails! Taking tomorrow off work to get my new CB wired in and my power seats adjusted (no time to wire up fully yet) and then it's up north for some trails this weekend with the group.
jeep would not start so I pulled cap off to find rotor dirty .bought new cap and rotor and still no spark.getting 12 volts to coil but nothing coming out.will buy new coil today.hope that's all it is.

don't forget there is an ignition on wire that tells the coil to turn on, don't forget to check that

Swapped out my injectors today for a set of 784's I bought off a forum member. Overall, it was an easy project, especially since I was following the step by step write up dukie564 has on here. Cleaning the injector ports took forever but turned out nice and clean.
After the swap, I noticed a drop of around 100-200rpm at idle, along with slightly better throttle response and faster/smoother startup. I checked for any fuel leaks and did not see anything. I drove around for half an hour and checked everything over again. I am noticing a slow seeping of fuel around a few of the injectors, but very minimal. Is this normal? Are the injectors properly seated in the ports?

No. Shouldn't be leaking at all. You may need new O rings
Got my headliner out. Watched a vid online how to do it and the vid must be a later Cherokee as the headliner was fiberglass and mine is fiberboard. Tore one little piece. Next up, remove the windshield and fix the roof where it has rusted above the windshield.
