Finally got my parts from powder coat. Now to track down another ravine and start saving for new tires.

Ran back to (the dreaded...) Wal-Mart and picked up the needed supplies, then prepped, masked and shot the rest of the side trim (I got the rear half done yesterday, front half/flares today). I'll pull the bumper,grille/headlight bezels before I do them (over the weekend or next week some time),and wait until I find a bone yard rear license plate light holder before spraying that (it's split,no need waste time/effort on broken parts :P ),sprayed the rear bumper too. 3 hours of prep work for a minute 30 seconds spray,LOL!
As I got a little bleed-through under the trim on at least one door...I may go ahead next month and bed-liner-spray the doors beneath the trip to hide it,LOL :P

I wanted an easy to see and reach lighted switch setup for my lights. These control the lights listed in pairs on bumper 2 lowers/2 uppers/2 on roof rack/2 on rear of roof rack backup/work lights. Also installed a 24" Emergency Light Bar Yellow/Blue for Sherriff's Dept. Search & Rescue to go with their Hummer lol.
I will be adding more later one set for fog lights and a set of side lights for trail use on roof rack. Also shown are my Scan Gauge and mount for my Garman GPS with mid-west region trails, forests maps.

I did the hood spacer mod. Figure it couldn't hurt with temps getting up to 105 and prolly up to 125 in a couple of months. Also picked up some supplies to do the hood vent mod. Lastly went to pic a part to find a tranny cooler from the older explorers but all had been taken.....bastards...

I ordered my 4.5" LA Lift kit and the SYE kit with the drive shaft. I picked it up from Rockridge 4wd. Guy was super good. I am pretty new to jeeps and he explained the process of the driveshaft, leads times etc. He said it was a 3 day lead time for the lift and 10 ten for the shaft. Can't wait.

Used it to do something I am afraid will be an increasingly repeated trip to the vet for my great ol friend. Bo. He's been our faithful friend for 11 years now and seems to be getting more and more cartilage and arthritis issues over the years. Glad my XJ can serve this mission.
