I had today off work so I drove around looking for some local trails/dirt roads. Found a pretty good one that was not posted so I went exploring. Turned out pretty good.

Nice.
Does your hood also open itself and stay open? Old struts work great for the hoodlift. (I feel like a broken record for the hood lift mod)

I love the flat flares. Do they allow keeping the factory plastic fender liner inside the wheel wells?

If they leak then trash them. Not to be trusted with a load or the underhood heat.

You can trim the liners, kit includes the plastic fasteners. I left them out. Used spay on undercoating in the wheelwell. Also pool noodles at the rear of the front wheelwells.

You like the rust?

Don't use expanding foam.

Thanks! Pool noodles work good and are removable. I considered using expanding foam also but did not want 'crevice corrosion'. Removing the liners is not an option for me in a salt and sand environment. Its the door hinges that gave me trouble running without the liners on my previous jeep, so i added them along with pool noodles on cut fenders.

99% of expanding foam is open-celled. It traps water against the metal.
