So the middle section wraps under the frame rail, front and rear just plate the outside?

yeah I'm gonna see what the detail dept. has at the dealership I work at.
I'm sure they've got something that'll get it out fine.

I've seen some TRASHED used cars come through there that roll out looking pretty damn near new.

While home I put on a new tie rod and ends on the zj. Sadly I need a new drag link.

New brakes pads all the way around with a fresh bleed

And my front lcas where shot so I replaced them with the lcas I was going to put on my xj.

Finally a rotella oil change with a mopar filter.
And washed it

The fronts just plate the outside, as do the rears. The middle section plates the edge and the bottom of the rail. I just did all the plug welds on the mid section without doing the edges, I tried to make them fit as tight as possible, but it was a chore.

That is exactly the bumper I want to build. Do you have a write up or did you draw out some plans that you would be willing to share?

It's a piece of 2x6x3/16. Cut the part under the hitch (I would do 1-1/8"), angled the ends, added a lot of gussets into the d ring tabs and hitch, and made quarter panel wings and tail light boxes.

I would shorten the tail light boxes to only under them and cut up higher into the quarter panel while I weld them to the sheet metal to tie it all together. The passenger side hangs down a little too low, I need to fix it but eh. It looks like the tail light boxes extend out a lot, and I left them like that for if I put a cage pillar on the outside.

I cut up my hitch and put it in the rear crossmember for a mount, holes need a little wiggle room then I'll weld it to the sheet metal once I get some more gas.

1/2" grade 8 hardware and all the tie I'm welding I will do should hold it really well.

Awesome man, that helps a lot. I like using the square tubing for the main part. How much does it weigh? I have a front bumper that was made out of 3/16 plate that bent and welded and it weighs quite a bit. I would assume the tubing would weigh more.

It's front heavy, like I can't hold it myself with the front wings on there and get it lined up so my brother had to help hold a side to mount it. Looks like 6x2x3/16 is 95 lbs for a 10' stick. Probably 100lbs. I can move it myself though, doesn't feel that heavy lol.

It is incredible. I am almost speechless. I have a rear light cover you can have if you want, but you have to give me the broken one. What did it cost you to build it?
