A big shout out to those that have posted the detailed data on performing these procedures. Couldn't have done it without the knowledge and insight provided by you.

After a short trip this morning, I drained my antifreeze, and replace with filtered rain water. I will do this process every couple of weeks all summer to clean out the system. I read that 50/50 mix antifreeze uses
"soft water", rather than distilled water or tap water. I figure rain water would be as soft as I can get.....
When I added a water softener to my home, sludge came out of the water
tank, and lines for some time.

you DEFINITELY don't want to put softened tap water into your radiator

I'm about to do a new set of plugs, wires, cap & rotor.
First I have to post my Mr Distributor Head picture.
Ordered my D30 Lock-Rite locker on sale from Rusty's for $230 shipped!

Unfair. I love big bear, wish I had my jeep when I went up there. Did do some hiking. Climbed castle rock.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_waterhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_softening
Short version: most "hard" water is the result of excessive calcium and lime from well water. "Softened" water essentially means you've added salt. You want as little crap as possible in your cooling system.

Working hard.... Till it started to rain and my uncle's wrangler got caught topless in the rain.

Also tuned my sub for the comanche. Tight fit with one 10 and 2 6x9s behind the seats.

I Soldered my Roof lights up, and ran my ground wires. Still waiting to go to the parts house to get my Switches!
