New exhaust compliments the 5.2 nicely.

Finally got my $35 Craigslist Magnaflow muffler installed. Wow, what a difference! I was expecting it to be loud and obnoxious, but it's actually a nice rumbly sound. But what made it worth it was the obvious performance enhancements. I didn't feel any kick-in-the-pants power, but I could immediately tell the engine wasn't working as hard anymore. Everything seemed a lot smoother and less like the engine wasn't gasping for breath anymore. The shop owner congratulated me on getting it. Guess it was about time. I still had the original muffler!

Washed, waxed, cleaned engine bay, new NGK plugs, 180 degree thermostat, new radiator hoses and heater hoses, oil change, fuel filter, trans flush with new filter and pan gasket, installed new head unit and door speakers in preparation for my system that will be installed after I get back from the beach, and new floor mats!

Took my headliner out after work and redid it. Will be a couple of days before I can put it back in because of the storms that will be here after I get off of work tomorrow.

Cut the brackets off my new used Dana 44 axles and pulled the old Dana 35 out from under the Cherry. Time to start grinding down the rough edges and prepping them for the new 3-Link Clayton kit.

Found out what 80 MPH in 3rd gear sounds like (curious whistle around 3900 RPM, noticeable exhaust leak around 4100). I've never seen my oil pressure so low as when I finally stopped lol. Knock/tap is/was gone but holy hell my injectors sound like a sewing machine army!

That looks sketchy as hell sitting on the hill like that... but it's a beautiful car.. That's my favorite color in the new Stangs.

I can't go to work wet. It's not the jeep I'm worried about, but I do need a squeegee for cold doorless mornings.
