What did you do to your Cherokee today?
No, I don't lick fish.
lol.... Glad you two could come to a truce! Now can we get on with it already?
Today, I hit it with the pressure washer and scrubbed the tires. Back to lookin' clean - man did I miss that power washer. Finally broke down and spent the 25 bucks to get a new gun for it.

Messed with the kickdown cable. Last night I finished getting my rear quarters cut! Gonna clean them up soon and screw in metal or weld the metal. I don't think we have the right welder s for this thin metal.

Started gathering the fluids I need for a full flush this weekend. Question: can/should I use a bottle of Lucas trans fix in my transfer case? I just want to make sure it's taken care of. When I got it it was almost empty in there. :/ d*mn p.o.'s

...measured my new coils & springs lift using the factory ["dirty"] method (and yeah, I got dirty). The results were a bit of a surprise: there's a half inch plus difference between the axle-center-to-flare ("clean") and the axle-top-to-frame ("dirty") methods of measuring lift.
Anyways.
Measurements were made with a bubble level so that I'd wouldn't be eye-balling where the top of the axle was to the tape markings.
The Moog CC782 gave exactly 1 inch of lift ...factory height is 6.75 +/- 0.5 inch, and I was at 7.75 inches (though that is with a 70 lb. or so frame-mounted Warn brush guard) on both sides. This is also the factory height for front coils with the Upcountry option. The Moog literature said these would add approximately 1 inch of height, which was true in this case.
The Crown 4886186AA leafs gave 1.75 inches of lift ...factory height is 6.0 +/- 0.5 inches , and I measured 7.75 inches (passenger side only; I didn't feel like pulling out the spare from the driver side lol). This is 0.75 inches more than the factory height of the rear leafs Upcountry option.
This is 0.75 inches more than I expected (or wanted, originally ...though if it don't settle too much, I'm probably going to see it more as an opportunity lol) ...but I'll wait a few months to see how they're settling in before I consider a Zone 0.75 inch spacer for the front coils, which would bring it to the factory front-to-rear height ratio.
...if I do end having to (or being able to) add the front spacers, that will mean the result was a 1 3/4 inch lift.
Hmm, which means you could look at this as a complete new springs and leaf packs lift "kit" pieced together for a bit over $300 ($140 delivered Crown leafs, $70 delivered Moog coils, $40 delivered for Energy Suspension polys, $32 plus s/h for Zone spacers ...and I paid $50 for barely used JK shocks).
That seems like kind of a good deal for a "near" 2 inch "lift kit" that's not centered around an AAL and shackles, and also includes shocks & bushings.
...IMHO of course (which that and three bucks will get you a latte at Starbucks lol).

you're forgetting that the new springs are not yet broken in, and will settle a bit as things loosen up and break in.
