Well I haven't actually done it to my XJ yet, but I'm trying to convince my boss to let me cut the D60's out of our decrepit plow truck

 

Some one did that to my truck, took all but 2 off per wheel. I buy wheel locks to be safe. Too many dirt bags out there!

 

I've watched a chain snap and destroy a dodge 1500 it blew threw the back window and the windshield

 

I can get a 75000 lbs and more at rural king

 

No problem and also ill let you know never weld on your tow points use bolts cause you can tell when a bolt starts to give but when.a.weld goes it tends to just snap and that can go flying I seen one truck that had the tow hook from another that was welded on stuck it the tailgate

 

Also the reason you should use grade 5 hardware instead of grade 8. Grade 8 will generally just snap while you can feel grade 5 before its about to give

 

That's good if your pulling out a motor home, but overkill for an xj.

 

Well my buddy's run full-size trucks and my cousin runs 44's on his mud trucks

 

ComancheClub has a thread on trail safety that has all of that and more ill post a link when I get some wifi

 

I'd say its still overkill. Why spend 100 on a strap when you only need a 40 dollar strap?

 

Its only $60

 

At any rate. I'm cool with my 30 dollar 30000 pound strap.

 

Yeah it's all about you budget and Wat suits your needs
