Yesterday... Wheeled into the back 40 to take down an unauthorized treestand for a friend on her property. Was told only 4wheelers could make it back there LOL.
She sells them for $100. One guy bought his back twice!
Nice day, but too windy and warm for deer hunt...

Installed my Hella H4 conversion headlights... had to work on screws... rusted in place. Waiting for dark to adjust.

Tightened up a bolt on my power steering pump that was loose. No more squeaky belt.
Also got a couple better pics of my rear bumper. If I did it again I think I'd go with a 3x6 instead of a 2x5. I'd probably also set it back an inch so there's less gap, but I like how much protection it'll give for the rear. Need to cut the rear quarter panels in line with the bottom of the tail lights now. They look awkward with the shape of the rear bumper now.
And yes the rear tailpipe hanger is missing...

I don't know when the PO did the last tuneup, so I put in fresh Champions, a new cap & rotor (brass tips, of course), and MSD 8.5 wires. I have to say, she seems to idle & accelerate smoother. More power? I dunno about that, but SMOOTH is the operative word of the day and I'll take it. I was gonna change the fuel filter, but after crawling underneath, it looks fairly new. If I'm bored, I'll change it one day. First I want to see if the tune up has any affect on mileage.

Nah, that tailpipe is brand new. The hanger I got for the rear was the wrong one and Napa was out of the one I needed so it's not staying like that.Originally Posted by 1976Mustang

I noticed today that the lithium grease I sprayed all over my drivers door FINALLY got rid of the squeakiness!

TJ Flares. Took 2 hours but I was being meticulous. The other front will be cake and rears and going to be HELL! Just mounted this up and didn't get a chance to trim the fender yet. Paint the flares, then rhinoline them into 1 piece attached to the fender.

I've never liked TJ flares on our XJs for some reason. Just never thought they fit right. None the less yours do look clean though.Originally Posted by 2.5TURBO

I think the backs are fine, the fronts look very strange because of the conflict in body styles. They look better with the signal light installed in that hole.Originally Posted by ThatPurpleXJ

It is nice work though, a lot better than some of the close-your-eyes-and-flail-the-angle-grinder trim jobs I've seen!

Figured out why it wouldn't start: Some genius installed some kind of weird interlock gadget that required the brakes to be pressed. Bypassed it.
