I fixed the power window motor on the driver's door. Since I just bought the jeep, I have no idea how long the driver's side window hasn't worked.
Today while I was driving on a gravel road, I held the window switch and the window went down. It wouldn't go back up though. So I just bit the bullet and tore apart the door. I ended up duct taping the glass in the up position and removed the regulator and motor.
I took the motor off of the regulator. Then I took the motor casing off of the rest of the assembly and pulled out the armature. I found my problem. The brushes were really worn and the commutator was just coated in black crap (the brushes material.) I cleaned the armature with contact cleaner until the commutator was shiny copper again. I cleaned the brushes. I put everything back together and the motor is much louder and faster. I cleaned the regulator track and re-lubed it with white lithium grease.
Now that it's all together, the driver's window goes up and down twice as fast as any others.
I see a lot of people talk about replacing the regulator when they have problems, but I bet cleaning the internal motor armature would solve a lot of problems.
I thought I'd share, since I bet other people have this problem. I should have taken photos, but I was doing the work for the first time, myself, so I was focusing on not breaking anything. It's pretty straightforward and there aren't any 'gotchas.'

Unable to get expandable freeze plug to set flush with the back of the head this AM with the few tools on hand I have at home.
Will bring more tools from my business/shop this PM to finish repair I hope.
