Today I let it run for 5 minutes and drove it off the trailer and into the garage.

 

Got the drop pitman arm on today. Wow! What a difference! Changed ds tre. Cleaned the mud out of the rims. Smooth sailing all the way to 75 ( on the speedometer) handles corners like its on rails.
Got ticked off at my stock jeep and my wife. Low on oil and it's knocking slightly. Looks like the thrust bearing on the crankshaft is toast. The crank pulley is rubbing against the timing cover.
Stocker gets no more new parts and is now parked. $800 in the front end, cured the death wobble, possible rod knock...dammitttttt!!!!
"Oh I thought you checked the oil."
" umm, there's a reason I have rags on the dashboard."

Aint we suppose to use 195* stats in the xj

 

Yes I am building a Stroker motor. The 180* t stat will help it run cooler.

 

Replaced the driver side frt hub, and unv. joint.New alt and remaned computer this week also. then we Played in some mulch...

 

A sad sight for all XJ owners, one faithful Jeep on its way to the scrap yard. Been in the family for 10 years, you will be missed old girl.

 

I get too attached, I cant scrap em. I'm restoring one now that should be on its way to the scrap heap!
