If you are taking it to a dealer, get ready to get raped! Did it just break off the boss, or into the block?

Dont laugh, this epoxy from Alvin products is awesome, I use it at work for castings all the time. It will hold up to heat and torque. I patched a hole in a diff with it to get thru once and it worked super.

I wouldn't use it forever, but if its not thru the block and the other two bosses are good, I wouldn't hesitate to use it. U can make a new boss out of it, and drill and tap it.

No laughing here! I had already tried to think of some sort of metal epoxy! thanks! one question, is that area of the block through to any oil passages? for example, could welding there cause it to burn through and block off an oil passage or something like that?

Sorry i know....im just freakin out a little..... This is my baby we're talking about here!

thanks man! I wish i knew some JEEP people around here, there are so many people on here that i know could have that fixed up in no time! but to me its virgin territory. I was/am a muscle/sports car guy first. i have only seen TWO lifted xj's around here, and they were in the same driveway, seperate times.

PLS HELP!!! How ****ed am I right now? can that area of the block be welded or am i talking motor swap? pics soon as i can bear to look at it again...
I did exactly that, I hope that's not what's causing the vibration in mine.

Nope, just checked. Now I have to figure out what it is.
