Gonna put the spare on the roof, I sleep in the back regularly on the weekends and I like having the extra space. Apart from that, just regular checking the fluids

well today in preperation of my upcomming lift install, i removed my rear carpet just in case my rear shock bolts break. atleast i'll save some time.
while doing that i noticed that my carpet was damp. when i bought it had a minor hit on the passenger side rear quarter panel. it was hit on the corner of the bumper and it seperated the seam. so water must have been running down the lift gate and into the well and floor areas.
i found some rust in the well and water. so i got the water out and wire brushed the well. i sealed the seperated seam with some black silicone and painted the well and all other areas that it affected.
i was planning on getting it all fixed this winter. so this will hold until then. luckily it was just surface rust and nothing to bad. i even removed the tailight to make sure i got good penetration with the silicone. i feel better knowing that i found it and it is somewhat repaired for now.

Changed out and converted the rest of the dash lights to LED, installed my fan override/fog light switches. Didn't actually wire them up though.

After 4 weeks on the jacks the FrankenPeep lives! Now we have a solid base to trick out. What a pleasure to drive again. 1st upgrade since the revitalization is a heat sheild for the muffler. I lifted the new floors about 1/2" and tucked the exhaust up high on the reinstall. Made a stainless shield of 16ga, stainless fasteners for standoffs and stainless straps. Will check out the floor temp after morning drive.
