Gave it a rest after driving it 10 hours round trip to Carlisle Pa for the Chrysler nationals.( without so much as a hiccup I might add.) Good ole jeep
Jeep suprised me and made my day and impressed my friends... Towed my boat to the lake, boat died in the middle of the lake then got a flat on the trailer... So went and got a 18 foot trailer and towed the boat and trailer...
The jeep never struggled at all it's the first time I've towed anything with the jeep I figures it would have squated more too

Crawled under just for check up... spotted some rust holes...
And found out one of the reasons my AC wasnt working... was unplugged. Still doesnt work.
Then gave up on my xj for the day and worked on one of the ATVs.
Most of the day was spent mowing... gotta earn gas money somehow.

threw a big *** tow hook in the hitch since for some reason people keep coming within inches of rear ending me when I'm in it. Like 3 or 4 times in a couple hours of driving. In fact yesterday some clown in an Acura MDX almost hit me three times while he effed around on his phone in traffic.
Got a cheapie hook at Harbor Freight since I don't intend on towing anything with a ball hitch and it was only $12.
oddly people never seem to nearly run into me in my other car which is so low I sometimes can't find it in large parking lots.
wtf is wrong with people....
Speaking of Harbor Freight..despite what Petersons Offroad just said about them in their last issue...that is some junky *** stuff for the most part. The store smells the same as those really crappy dollar stores. Lots of crap like shrink wrapped screwdriver sets probably made of old soda cans.
Oh and while there, I picked up some female torx sockets, which I'll need to replace to lift gate struts when they finally show up from Amazon. Love how Chrysler changes so many random things like screws from year to year. Some of the stuff doesn't even match the diagrams/instructions in the offical Jeep shop book.

Just filled up the tank with unleaded. Goodbye 50 bucks. But figured I should before gas prices shoot up again. Besides, that should last me a good couple of months (barring unexpected road trip).
