Installed BD rubber motor mounts and a Crown trans mount. Much much much better. A few vibes from the BD mounts but I think they'll settle over time. Very happy overall.

Had a crack in the exhaust manifold that was in a spot that could not be welded. So I bought some JB Weld Extreme Heat. It says it will fix things like this. Sanded down the area of the crack then cleaned it with brake clean. Added one layer and let it cure for 6 hours then added another layer. Will report back tomorrow night if it worked. Fingers crossed.

Nice! I've been needing a new one myself. The leather on the bottom cushion cracked, then tore, then my daughter decided to start pulling the foam out of the crack. It's held in place with black duct tape lol.... was my dad's recliner before mine so it's probably a good 25 years old.

I bet the old one is still 1000x more comfortable.

That sounds interesting. Headers get hot, like glowing red hot. I know you know that. Epoxy typically doesnt like that. Curious to hear the results. I bit the bullet and pulled mine off to weld it back up. Dont know how long its going to last for though.

Kinda curious too. Anybody remember Liquid Steel? I used it to fix the seam on a radiator in a '65 GS Skylark I used to own. Figure a header would get so much hotter but wonder if that would work.

Got the sterling 10.5 under the rear and got the front axle cleaned off to install some goodies on it later this week.

Can't see how any kind of epoxy, sealant, whatever will hold. It's not so much a heat problem as it is the flexing that caused the crack in the first place. Right?

no, sir. it’s a base model jeep with the only power function being mirrors. i added a headlight harness, other than that it’s rock stock electrically. stock radio, 2 speaker setup etc. this was ac on full blast and bright lights on, at full operating temp. i didn’t see the need for anything more.

we used belzona products at the paper mill I worked at. Often we would drill cracks and ream with drill so the inside of the hole was bigger than the outside. this product works up to 392°F. not sure about flex. Might want to call and talk to these folks.
