Just pulled mine in the process of foam removal now. Just curious what color y'all have used . I have silver jeep with dark grey seats/dash. I was thinking black but wondering if that would have anything to with heat in Florida. I like Camo but think it looks odd in large areas. Comments or suggestions welcomed . Also best method for foam removal? Thanks

I used light Grey, to match the factory interior color. My XJ is light Met. Silver, Light Grey interior. So if this is the shade of Grey, you have. They consider (or call) it Light Grey. Attachment 125902

Just did mine last night. It's really a two man job just because the fiberglass backing is so large and getting it in and out of the jeep without warping it or damaging the new cloth would be tough alone.

I used grey I purchased from Joann fabrics. $15 a yard and you'll need three yards. They only have black grey and tan in the stores. Look online and if you have a smartphone you can get a 50% off coupon code which you show to the cashier.

I used the expensive twenty dollar 3M adhesive and it took two bottles for me. Although of you really want to go nuts, use three. Two minimum though.

I think black would make the jeep feel too closed in and claustrophobic (my XJ is black). Grey looks factory. No more sagging headliner makes me happy!!

Edit. Use a scrub brush to get the old foam off. Should come right off easily. Don't worry about getting the glue off.

I did mine in Duck Blind Mossy Oak. Took three yards of it, and I used 4 and half cans of the permitex heavy duty headliner glue. I used a wire brush to remove all the old foam and glue.

I didn't spray mine, I kept the foam on and just redid the fabric. My interior is tan so I just got tan fabric from Joanns or a local fabric store then used headliner adhesive from advance. I tried the 3M spray adhesive from the fabric store, but maybe since it's so hot here it pretty much immediately started sagging again. it only took 1 can of the headliner adhesive to keep it up.

I used flames from hobby lobby. Mistake I made was using a vertical design with only 42' of width. The XJ is closer to 48' so I had to line it up very carefully. The glue I used sucked, try something else.
