I've had a '87 & two '89s, which I thought were amazing at the time, now I own a '98 and a '89...after I sell the '89 I'll never go back to a renix.

99 was the best year in my opinion. That's the year I looked for when I went shopping. The least amount of issues as far as I read up on.
New intake system sold me on it, but it's a direct swap for older XJs. Make sure you've got good axles, like the high pinion and 8.25.

its nice to be able to do everything without having to hook up a sensor to make my cpu read the part changes like i do when i repair anything in my 2013 focus lol that thing is a pita. hence why i went as old as i could find with my jeep. ill take a hit on comforts if it makes repairs easier and less needed
