I've had a '87 & two '89s, which I thought were amazing at the time, now I own a '98 and a '89...after I sell the '89 I'll never go back to a renix.

I love my 99. Just hit 200k no real problems with it. Just odds and ends radiator water pump fluids etc nothing major.

I really, really like those rims. Sucks that there really isn't as much as a selection for tires with 16" rims. XJ looks great.

Nothing else to add.... Carry on...

99 was the best year in my opinion. That's the year I looked for when I went shopping. The least amount of issues as far as I read up on.

New intake system sold me on it, but it's a direct swap for older XJs. Make sure you've got good axles, like the high pinion and 8.25.

yeah ive got a few upgrades to do yet on mine before im completely happy with it, have a new tie rod and ball joints just waiting to be put in. just waiting on the funds to buy all new tre's

its nice to be able to do everything without having to hook up a sensor to make my cpu read the part changes like i do when i repair anything in my 2013 focus lol that thing is a pita. hence why i went as old as i could find with my jeep. ill take a hit on comforts if it makes repairs easier and less needed
