Weird metal scraping noise
So when im driving 25 or faster there is a metallic scraping noise coming from what sounds like right underneath the drivers seat. It goes away as im slowing down to stop and doesnt do it when idleing. I took a video to record the sound but dont know how to upload it on here.

On the back side of the TC there are 2 hex plugs ( 10mm iirc) one high and one low. Remove the higher plug and the fluid should be level with the bottom of the hole. Make sure you are on a level surface.
Okay. If its low would it make that noise? Im sure it atleaat needs to be replacced. Its been in my family for atleast 15 years and have no idea when it was last changed. I just took it over from my brother

Yup, the shift forks have plastic friction pads on them. If the fluid gets too low the plastic will melt off allowing the aluminum fork to rattle. Also a stretched chain will drag the bottom of the case and cause a similar noise. If it's really low the damage is done and you'll either have to overhaul the case or replace it.
