Default Weathered trim options

My 2000 xj has some very weather looking door trim. I see there
Are numerous products to restore to factory looking black.
Poor Boy. Back to black etc. Anybody try or use and of these
Products with any success ? I have looked at a few reviews but
Not sure what product to try.
Thanks in advance.

A heat gun works well for restoring the black trim.

Default Update:

My drivers side door trim is the only piece that is factory appearance black. I used a majic eraser & then sprayed some wd40 & rubbed it in. Wow, what a difference. I still have the passenger side to do.
Will see how long it lasts.
Cheap fix makes her look better.

Don't need to go to that length at all.

Just get a can or two of flat black spray paint. Clean the trim, scuff it with a scuff pad, clean it again, apply paint in lite coats.

Simple.

For example...

Duplicolor flat black with a wide spray nozzle. That's all.

I don't know why anyone makes it more complicated than necessary. Going on two years and it's only faded just slightly.
