Default water leak

I have a 2000 cherokee with a water leak on the front passenger side. Have been told it is not from the windshield but probably a weld seam crack. When jeep is parked in the rain, water accumulates on the passenger floorboard. Looking for an economical solution.

There are 2 solutions to this. 1) Park facing downhill LOL. This is the one I use. 2) If you do a search, there's a drain hole in the front that gets plugged up that can be cleaned out with a coat hanger, but I cant remember exactly where it was. It's down in the firewall. I cant find the thread right now, but this is really common. I'll keep looking for it, but this shouldnt cost you anything to fix.

Thanks Chihlidog, I will look for this next dry day. Still trying to learn how to navigate this site, hope you get the reply. As for parking downhill, didn't work!

Interesting .... generally the front passenger water puddle is an easy fix but perhaps you do have some weld seam issues, and if that's the case I'm not sure what to suggest. I'd definitely still start down in the firewall and around the cowl to make sure nothing is plugged up and all the seals are good.

Another possibility is the fan for the blower has a bad seal which was the cause of my passenger side leak...Tj
