Default Water in front door jams

Anyone know anything about this and should I look more into it water in both driver and passenger front door jams not a lot just was curious about it I'm starting to slowly work on restoring everything to new in my Xj. Which is. 2000 XJ sport. Pic below

I believe that is the normal way that pooled water drains from between the fender and hood. I noticed the same a while back. Kinda dumb really since it was running on my hinges. Keep the pathway clear of debris and make sure the weather stripping and boots are in good shape.

yeah I was figuring that too and was thinking why would they have water drain on the hinges and everything else to just rust? But I am sure their is some mods people have done to avoid it all well.

Trying to remember if it was from where I said or from water coming from the gutters. Either way it's normal as far as I know and...its not a great setup because the water definitely soaks the hinges and can get under the plastic rocker guard. Sometimes "Its a Jeep Thing" isn't always a good enough ans IMO.

yeah I'll look more into it I gotta find ways to avoid it
