which warn winch to get?

I'm looking at either the vr8000 or the m8000. Is it with the extra $100 for the m series?

I've run my m8000 for years and never had any issues. Even been under water a few times and works great. And it's fast for the price. Much faster than my old Superwinch and my buddys MileMarkers and Smittybuilts.
