Default VW Golf tried to race me

Ok so I was just driving down the road, minding my own business job searching cuz I don't have one right now. All of a sudden this little **** Volkswagen Golf speeds up next to me and persists to rev his engine next to me for like 3 miles! Like really? I wasn't really in the mood to deal with this little punk that looked about 15 so I just looked at him and kept driving. This is like in the middle of traffic and through lights and what not, so he like gets real close and starts looking at me so I yell "NICE RICEBURNER", I guess it pissed him off cause i tried to turn left and he tried stopping in front of me then throwing rocks back into my jeep. I swerved out of the way because I saw this coming and started driving again. I speed up just to get further away and he comes flying past me at like 70mph. like whats the point?
Why do guys with little souped up cars always insist on trying race bigger trucks?

Lol wouldn't you call a VW a krautburner?

There's idiots of all walks of life. I have a lifted XJ and a modded import, and I've had more experiences with lifted truck drivers revving on my Civic. It runs low 14s on a decent launch, which isn't real fast, but faster than your average bubbamobile.

If some knuckledragger in an import revved on my XJ, I'd just laugh and let him get the ticket.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, so I don't know much about posting and stuff, but I read ur post and I think it is awesome cause I can relate to it.

My brother has a VW Jetta and he's always bothering me about my Jeep Cherokee, but he can't even drive through the streets when it rains a lot and it gets flooded...so take that little annoying cars.

At 11pm on night, I was stopped at a red light. An Infiniti G35 coupe came up next to me and the little wiener behind the wheel revved his engine several times. When the light turned green, he took off really fast. I just have a stock '99 Cherokee. Of course he would win. If I want fast, I'll buy a Camaro.

They're just afraid to race something comparable because they're afraid of losing. I have one thing to say about that: LOSER!

Welcome to the forum.

The other day, I too was job hunting and drove by the high school to see my old school. I had totally forgot that alot of the high schoolers here have rice burners. I was at a stop sign when a guy in a rice burner comes up behind me and starts reving his engine.....irritating. It wasn't my turn to go anyway, then he starts yelling at me. So I kept him behind me ...flipped me the bird when I finally let him by, lol

Thanks for the welcome. I agree, this forum is very welcoming because I am among smart people==>Jeep lovers.

Then once in a while my brother is like, "sis, can I borrow the Jeep tomorrow?"
I am like, "huh? why? didn't u say u don't like it?"
He replies, "it's cause I want to go to the Island (the beach)"

What a loser.

welcome Esmeralda I am new here too. this place is awesome. everyone is so helpful. On my Cherokee my exhaust is cut off at the cat so it is very loud and for some reason loud noises attract stupid kids. everyone tries to race me, it annoying. but I get to take it out on them when I drive my wife's G35. it not very stock and most of these kids cannot shift worth a s***.

O/P, I think you did well calling his (expensive?) German car a rice burner.

True Krautburner might have been cooler, but it wouldn't have hurt as much.

Fact is I don't know about your ride, but my 4.0L 98 would have shown him the tail lights.

If you really want them to shut up, try this.

Okay I'll race you in the quarter mile!

But I get to pick the quarter mile.

Oh he'll start naming local dragstrips to see which one you mean.

Nope, I'm talking about (Insert your favorite powerline trail here)

Option 3; You could have asked him "What are you ghey or something"?

not gonna lie your 4.0 probably would have killed that little golf of the line and if he didn't know how to drive probably for a good 1/4 mile or so, but i agree not worth the time. Man situations like this makes me want to take my jeep to 505 performance and have them build me a stroker turbo motor..SMOKE any import at that point and some domestics.
