US Forest Service Cherokee
I have been trying to find a US Forest Service Cherokee for a while. I use to see them everywhere but can't find one to save my life. I currently have a 91 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with no power options. I want another one but would love to get an old forest service rig. Anyone have any idea of where to find these anymore. Hell, they use to be a dime a dozen around here but I can't find one to save my life anymore. I got a thing for no options, bad paint colors, and steel wheels. What can I say?

this is an old pdf but try calling the contacts or look on the website for a contact and ask them http://www.cs.unca.edu/nfsnc/press/v...auction_05.pdf

I have been on Ebay and Craigs with no luck and found some old auctions from a while back. Guess I will just keep my eyes open. I just really want a basic one. Rubber floor mats and all.

My first one was a '91 Forest Service XJ. I bought it from a guy who got it at a public auction. It only had 80,000 miles when I bought it in '05! The driver's seat was a bit worn but all others looked brand new. I loved the rubber mat until I realized water was trapped underneath causing rust, so I pulled it, killed rust, bedlined it, and put the rubber mat back down. It was a great vehicle that I wish I still had.

What is sad is I just saw one with the lighter green paint in a jy in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday. The body was in good shape but it was a C4C trade in so the engine was trashed. DAMN YOU government programs!!!!!

I got mine at an online auction:

Old post, but good luck. Took me 9 months for the perfect one to drop (00 Manual).
