Default Undercoating or bed liner

Which would last longer on the inside flooring of my jeep undercoating or spray on bed liner? Are they the same? What would be the pros and cons to either?

Has to be bedliner, because my experience with the undercoat is not very good.

I sprayed undercoating on the front inside of mine about 3 weeks ago, and I'm unimpressed with it. It looks fantastic until you start actually using it, and then it scratches and comes up very easily. I figured I'd try it on the front to see how it holds up, because I'm putting carpet back over it. The answer is not very well.

It might have something to do with my application though. I did use a high quality primer under it, which is sticking very well, but I think I layed down the undercoat too thick and too quickly. It might do better if you do a number of very light coats, giving it plenty of time to dry between coats.

I'm getting ready to do the back half this week, and may decide to leave the carpet out of it. I'm going to bedline it and see if it holds up any better than the front. If it comes out as well as I hope, I'm strongly considering leaving the carpet out of the back half.

I went with herculiner bedliner to cover the floor. So far it has withstod everythin from throwin tools in, ive spilled oil, and has held up to water. Im also doing the same with the carpet, im placing it in the passanger area and leavin the back area bedlined.
